Make sure you're on the latest version of So Now and a supported iOS version (iOS 17.0 or later). Fully close the App and relaunch it, then restart your device if the issue continues. If it persists, email us with your device model and iOS version.
A practice stream needs camera access to show your preview. Open Settings > So Now on your device and enable Camera. You can also use the Device Check button on the Home screen to confirm camera and microphone access before you go live.
From the Home tab, pick one of the four layouts (Classic, Gaming, Pro, or Studio) and tap Go Live. On the Stream Setup screen you can set a title and choose an accent color, then tap Start Streaming to begin with a live preview, simulated chat, reactions, and viewer count.
No — and that's the point. So Now is a practice tool. Chat messages are randomly generated from preset templates, and viewer counts are simulated numbers that rise and fall like a real crowd. No real people are watching or typing, so you can rehearse your on-camera presence with zero pressure.
You earn Streaming Points every time you finish a practice stream, based on minutes streamed, peak viewers, chat messages, and reactions received — plus bonuses from achievements. Tap the points pill in the top-right of any tab to see exactly how they're calculated. Spend them in the Store.
Open the Store from the Home screen or the Profile tab. There you can spend Streaming Points to unlock new accent colors for your live overlay and emoji packs that change which reactions float during your stream. Some items also unlock for free when you earn the matching achievement.
Achievements are milestones — your first stream, hitting a viewer count, long streaks, and more. Each one grants bonus points and can unlock an accent color or emoji pack. View your progress under Profile > Achievements. Locked accents can also be bought directly in the Store.
The Ranks tab shows a weekly and all-time leaderboard. Tap any streamer to see their record and start a Battle — a practice stream where you try to beat their peak-viewer count. Your result appears on the end-of-stream summary. You can also tap Challenge a Streamer on the Home screen to jump straight there.
The daily gift can be claimed once per day. If you see "already claimed," come back tomorrow. Each consecutive day grows your viewer boost (up to +30), which adds extra simulated viewers to the start of your next stream. Miss a day and the streak resets.
Setting a profile photo needs Photo Library access. Check Settings > So Now on your device. Then tap the camera icon on your profile avatar to pick a photo. Photos are stored locally and stay across app restarts. For any other issue, email support@sonow.app with your device model and iOS version — we usually reply within 48 hours.
